Hey You

Yeah. You.  I see you.  Out of my left eye...

No.  Make that my right eye.

Ok, anywho....I'm gonna put myself out there a bit and ask a little question.

Is there ONE thing that you'd like to see more or less of on this tiny little blog I have???!?

I know for me, it's [the blog] has turned into an outlet of sorts.  Photography, my kids, silly stories.  Every once in a while a tip or trick I've learned during my few short years as a mom.  I don't have time to write novels on here, but I have enjoyed showing a SLIVER (I emphasize sliver, b/c this blog doesn't even come close to showing 1/100th of what goes on in our life...believe it or not) of what goes on under our roof!

Honestly, "the blog" is more for me than you.  Since I stay home SO much - literally - it helps me feel connected - in a weird over The Internets way - and I also enjoy reading other blogs (family blogs and informational blogs) out there in the blogosphere.

I'm not out to target a certain audience or become some famous blogger, but I wouldn't mind just a little feedback.  Just to get my brain churning.  Get the creative juices flowing, if you will.

I guess I'm asking you to slightly inspire or challenge me.

So, throw it out there if you want.  I'm up for it.

And one more thing.

Have you ever seen an Aqua Skipper?!?!

I 've seen pictures of them before, but I got to witness one in real life this past weekend.

They.Are.Intriguing.

To say the least.

It's one of those things that looks so easy but one you hop up on it, it ain't as easy as you thought.

But once you "get it"....you're good as gold.  Skipping around on top of the water!!!

It's a hydrofoil.  And you have to self propel it across the water.  It's a challenge, but super fun to try.

And even more fun to watch!!!

I wish I had pics of Robert and I trying.  Maybe next time.  I'm sure they're slightly comical.

  2. I, for one, am completely obsessed with your photography. I just love looking at the pictures as much as I love reading the words. I'm a big fan of having a post every day, even if it's just a photo. That always keeps me coming back.

If you're ever inclined, you'd be PERFECT for my 24x24 series, in which you post 24 pictures from a 24-hour time period. There aren't really any rules ... sometimes I use just the time of day for each photo, sometimes I write a line or two about each one, and sometimes it's photos with no words at all. But it's fun and -- since your photos are gorgeous -- you'd be the perfect fit! I have a button on my blog in the right sidebar if you ever want to grab it and do it.

Longtime reader, first time commenting. I found your blog a while ago while "blog hopping" through other blogs I read. I enjoy your photos and stories. From what I gather you're a young mom, maybe even my age (I'm engaged with no children), so I can relate to you and hopefully use your tricks (used to love when you would post your CVS deals) when I have a family of my own. The whole blogging thing is kind of like watching a reality show! Thanks for keeping us entertained!

  9. I too am just in love with your kids! I love looking at your photos! So maybe some ideas of taking cute photos...but for some people that don't have fancy cameras...ideas of poses or ideas to have just better pictures. I have a nice camera, but I don't edit any.

Oh, and also you have to tell me where you get the kids clothes! Especially Lillian's! I'm having a girl in November and I love anything smocked, Feltman, all the REALLY girly stuff! I have a 3 year old boy but had to stop dressing him in that stuff when he turned 2...it was a sad day for me! :)

  12. Better to comment late than never...but I love it all! With my fourth on the way I like seeing what my life will be like in a year! ha I love all the crafty bits, the shopping bits, and the "everyday life" tidbits that you say isn't perfect because the pictures sure are:)
I'd like to know how in the world you find time to do it all (cook, clean, play, etc.)!!!

Keep up the cute pics and good posts.

  13. hey lindsay! first of all, i love that you are offering more photo info. i am a long way from knowing what i'm doing but appreciate more specific tips!

i think you should do a "day in the life" post yes it would probably be tiring and a lot of work to photograph everything all day but it would be fun to see what life with 4 kids is really like. how do you get out the door? who goes where during the day? how you get dinner on the table, etc. i love the adorable pictures and "glimpses" but as someone who's just figuring it out with one, I would love to see how a day with 4 really takes place.

If you don't have anything nice to say, then, please don't say anything at all! THANKS!
