First Day of Summer!

I'm sitting here and it's not even 1:00 and I feel like we've done A TON of things already today!  All I can think about is how I'm gonna keep these kids entertained all summer AND keep the house up!  I know we'll have a bit of a transition period, and I have always pulled through.  Still, not fun.

Even my sweet husband called me this morning and after a bit of conversation on his part, he said, "Now, how are you?"    ME: "Fine!"    HIM: "Emotionally????"    ME: "Yeah, I'm good!"    HIM: "Physically? Mentally? Everything good?"    ME:  "Yes, Robert, I'm good!"

It's funny that he's learned to ask that because you know how we girls can get on an emotional roller coaster.  There have been days where I tell him, "I don't know why, but I'm feeling *insert emotion* and I just want you to know."  And I think he appreciates the warning sometimes.  ;-)

SO, backing up a little, yesterday the kids got out at 12:30.  We came home, ate, rested, and then spur of the moment loaded up to go to the McWane Center.  Perfect in the afternoon, hardly anyone is there!!

Bed of nails...

Some seriously cool fish!  The green moray eel is always hiding.  I've heard he's HUGE!

Stingrays and sharks galore!  I have to practically keep Rhodes from jumping in!

Can you guess who pressed their face in here??

It's Lillian.

And this boy...

I threw away all his bottles yesterday and he was M-A-D!!!  Seriously! Swattin' his little hand at me when I offered him a cup.  He drinks out of cups all the time.  Just wants a bottle for his milk.

Can't believe he'll be 2 in a few months!!

The past couple of weeks, I've been shifting the kids bedtimes a little later.  Since is summer I figured we could all stay up a little later.

And then they got up at 6:00 am.  SERIOUSLY!  Every other day, I'm having to drag them out of bed, and the first day of summer they do this to me!?

Just a little indoor hula hooping last night.

Wanting to keep up my walks without having to buy a quadruple jogging stroller, we loaded up the car with the bikes and rode around this morning.  I ran/walked, and the kids rode and rode....and definitely had a blast.  Not to sure how long we're going to be doing this....it got hot fast!

A little snack, and we're good to go!

After lunch, and a few chores (the girls had a lesson in folding clothes!), they begged to go play outside in the water!  Perfect way to kick off summer!

And that's how I've stolen a few minutes on the computer!  I'm sure Rhodes will wake up soon and we'll head out for a couple more errands, and then dinner!

I can't wait until the free summer movies, and all the library stuff kicks off next week!

Oh, and as you can see, I've ditched my fancy DSLR for Instagram.  Hope you're okay with that!

The Wedding: Rehearsal Dinner

After we kicked off the weekend with the beautiful bridesmaids luncheon, we had the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner.  My uncle took all the pictures and the dinner and did a GREAT job!  It was nice not to have my camera in hand and just get to enjoy the evening.  I did crop a few and run them through camera raw, but he did a fantastic job!  Though I was super nervous about giving my toast.  :-)

Cousin, sister, and a bridesmaid with her hubby!

The groom and MOG! ;-)

Rober and I.....can you believe I'm in so many pictures!!  Crazy!  And nice for a change!

Me, Walton, and beautiful Maggie!

The couple of the evening.

Can't believe he's a married man now!

My grandmother, Sugar, and the 3 grand daughters.....and now FOUR!

And, in typical Robert style, he can't be serious!

The flowers were AMAZING!  They had kiwis and grapes in them.  Absolutely gorgeous.  The food was delicious as well!

We toasted!  My was short and sweet and straight from the heart!  Thanks dad for helping me with it!

The preggers toasted too.  You can see her little 22 week bump here!

SISTERS!!!!!

Thanks to my awesome parents for throwing such a perfect rehearsal dinner!

And now a confession....I didn't take one single picture at the wedding.  :(  I intended to have my camera close by, but WOWZERS.  When your a bridesmaid, you're marching all over the place taking pics.  Then the kids got there, and I had to get them dressed.   And the the reception...well, we ate and danced the night away and I didn't even bring my camera.

BUT, I guess that's why you hire a photographer.  Who by the way was Kellen Coldiron.  And let me tell you that the pictures are going to be GORGEOUS!  We went to the park called Jemison Trail and took pics back in the woods....they're going to be awesome!

And I promise to show you whenever we get to see them!!!

Promise to share pics and details soon!!

Bachelorette Weekend!

Well, hey there!

Long time no see.  I might be a little bit sorry.  But it get's BUSY around here!  Especially with a wedding in FOUR DAYS!!!!!!!

So last weekend, I got to get away for 2 nights to spend time with my future sis-in-law!  It was the first time in exactly 3 years that I've been away from Robert and the kids....alone!  Crazy!  It was so fun though!

So I did a little of this, and a LOT of laying around!

I was able to meet all of Margaret's bridesmaids!  I have to say that they are ALL so sweet, beautiful, and down to earth and I really enjoyed seeing Margaret with all her friends!  I got to hear cute stories about her and Walton....I just can't tell ya how much fun it was!!!  Still can't believe my baby bro is getting hitched!

We took one boat ride and FROZE!  It was a beautiful day, but out on the water with the wind blowing...just a tad cold.  But we all worked on our tans a little bit out on the dock!

Then we came in and got dressed up and headed to Springhouse Restaurant.

One word.  DELICIOUS!

Margaret's maid of honor is her best friend and cousin!!!

These girls were her roomies at college!  (I think...can't quite remember how each of them know Margaret....) :-)

Another set of roomies....pretty sure. ;-)

The fam!  Lacey and I, Margaret, and our cousin Rachel!

I split a delicious veggie pasta with homemade pasta with my preggers sister! So good!

Walton sent flowers to the restaurant with a note that read, "7 days".

Tears.  Oh yeah, it's gonna be hard to hold it together this weekend!!!  Guess that's just how weddings are!

Then it was back to the house to open lots of goodies!!!   I'll spare the details.  :-)

We had plenty of bubbly to celebrate with...

And hugs too....

Sweet moments shared with friends!  You could really tell how much they all cared for Margaret and each other!

Lots of girltalk......

So much fun!!  Can't wait to share more details about the weekend!  I don't want it to go by too quickly.

FOUR MORE DAYS!!!
