McClellan Family Christmas

Last weekend we packed everyone up and headed to visit Robert's family!! We really enjoy his side of the family because there are lost of little ones aging from 8 months to 10!! So there is always someone to play with!!

We did lots of things...like bake cookies!!

Visited Santa at the mall. (oh, and I gotta a whole lot of pictures on that!) :-)

Visited with cousins!

Opened presents!

Sang Happy Birthday to Jesus!!!

Took some family pictures, of course. :-)

Or tried.
Robert's sister and her family!

Robert's parents and 6 of the 7 grand kids!!

And we played and played with our new toys!!

We had so much fun visiting with everyone! Thank you Mimi and Poppy for having us and for all the AWESOME gifts!!

Ok, Ok

You guys were right, I was wrong. About the waffle and spaghetti thing. It's the opposite! Men are like waffle and can only think of one thing at a time and women are like spaghetti and can think of many overlapping things at once!! :-)
SORRY!! :-)

"Mom, Look This Way..."

Little boys in general fascinate me so much - especially my little boy. The things go through their little minds are so CRAZY some times. And the things that come out of their mouth - hilarious! They are just so different than little girls (duh). He constantly reminds me how men and women are wired so differently. You know, women are like waffles (we can compartmentalize things) and men are spaghetti noodles (one track minds, basically). Ok, back to my story....Landon did the funniest thing the other night while baking cookies. Now, he's not the first little boy to ever do this, but we've never talked about doing this before. I can only accredit his "little boy mind" to thinking this one up on his own.

All I heard was...."No...Mom, look this way!!!" With his hand up at me like...wait and watch!

Then he proceeded to SNIFF an m&m up on his nostril and hold it there.

My little girls have NEVER though to do this own their own!

Only a boy. (Now if I can have a penny for every time I say that phrase!!!)

I Thought They Forgot About Me

Several months back I posted a story about the makeup company Sheer Cover calling me to interview me about their makeup and asking for before and after photos of me using their makeup! One of their representatives and I emailed back and forth for a while. Then...'poof' it was like I disappeared off their radar.

Well....lo and behold, they called me again today. This time from Sheer Cover headquarters directly! They're about to start filming some more testimonies soon and were calling back some people they had in the database!!

We had a similar conversation about what I like about Sheer Cover etc, and then we hung up.

So I'm thinking I have a fairly decent chance at this!! Two personal phone calls and several emails....I just might have a trip to California coming up!

Don't worry, I'm certainly not calling babysitters yet, but it is still fun to think that of all the people that use their makeup, I somehow landed in their "testimonies" file.

And for my friends that I've discussed Bare Minerals with, I do use a lot of Bare Minerals. I'm pretty exclusive to their face colors. As far as foundation, Sheer Cover's concealer and face powder are pretty much my "go to" minerals. Now, do I own BE foundations....yes. Do I own other mineral makeup line foundations...yes. But minerals are minerals. Though, I am expecting another shipment from Sheer Cover pretty soon. :-)

Wish me luck!! :-)

The Reindeer That Had 5 Noses

Continuing with our yearly traditions at Christmas is MAKING REINDEER COOKIES! Yummy! We make these all month long. So fun and easy, even Lillian got into the decorating!! Nothing like putting a half naked baby on the kitchen table to eat put M&Ms on the cookies! And she was so proud of herself!!

Putting on the "nose" for the 5th time! (notice the chocolate rimmed mouth)

Yay Lillian!!! You did it!

Olivia's cookie on the left, Lillian's on the right. :-)

Baking the cookies! They didn't last long at our house!!!! We plan on making lots more of the cookies!!
