Male Multitasking

We all know women are much better at multitasking than men.  ;-)

But I think Robert did a pretty good job last night.  Him working from home may just come in handy more than I thought!

Portraits

It started when Olivia was 10 months old.  My parents had her while Robert and I had some time to ourselves.  Little did I know she was up to something.

At Christmas that year, she gifted me with portraits of Olivia!  I think I cried!  They were so sweet and precious.

So, with every child since then, we've continued to get their pictures done at the same age.  The girls wear the same dress, boys the same little outfit.  The girls are wearing my add-a-pearl necklace.  And all are pictured with the same silver rattle that was given to Olivia when she was born!!

So this past Christmas, we received Rhodes' portraits!  The now all hang together on our wall in the den.

I find myself looking at them often trying to figure out who looks like who.

People offer their opinions ALL the time - and the opinions differ greatly.

Anyways, here are all the kids pics taken around the same age.

So after seeing these pics...who do you think look alike now?

Best of Buds

So my lens is BACK!  Actually, it's been back.  I've just had a hard time wanting to pick it back up again.  BUT, alas, I have and I'm glad it's back!!

The boys were playing outside the other day.  It was so cute!  I hope they are the best of buds one day.  They already share the love of cars, trucks, guns, and balls!  And now that Rhodes is getting old enough to actually play with them WITH Landon, I think Landon is beginning to enjoy his little brother a lot more.

SO....he decided to show him the ropes on dirt and leaves! :-)

They were all giggles on the porch for a little bit!

"Ok bud, you wanna go down here and play?"

And off they went!

He plopped him right down in the middle of the huge leaf pile that he just raked up.  (All by himself, I might add!)

Wait...this is supposed to be fun?!

So they decided to ride around.

Let's ride INTO the leaves!

"Here, I'll help!"

Now, back to the original intent...."you PLOP down into the leaves, Rhodes!"

And something tells me this is only the beginning!!!

Free Is Always Good!

I wanted to share this with y'all before it's too late!!!

I know everyone doesn't live where I do, but this deal could quite possibly go on for you if the circus comes to a town near you!

Next week, the circus comes to town here!  We took Olivia and Landon a few years ago for their birthdays.  I'm not a "go every year" type person.  Once is enough for me.  BUT, when I was at our local library the other day, the librarian told me if I checked out 4 books per child, they each get a FREE ticket to the circus!!!

Let me repeat.  Check 4 books out (you don't even have to read them - but we are!) and you get a FREE circus ticket!!

You'll have to get a receipt at the library and then they stamp it for you right then and there.  Then you take these to the ticket office and pick up your circus tickets!!!

We received 4 tickets.  So with the purchase of ONE (maybe 2) adult tickets, my entire family can go to the circus!!!!

Now that, my friends, is a GREAT DEAL!!

SIXTY

Hey Y'all!!

Today, my morning started out like this.  A bag of rice poured out onto the floor.

Yup,.  Guilty.  But who can stay mad at that sweet face for long!

Also, it was promptly followed up by, "this is the best day ever!" by Landon - because I cooked him eggs and toast!  The little things, huh.  So really, it's been a GREAT day!

So now for the title of this post. My grand parents celebrated SIXTY, let me repeat....60 YEARS of marriage last night!  What an honor it was to celebrate with them.  We remenisced about how they met, funny stories of sharing life together!  My how far they've come!!

Here are the grandkids (we're missing 3).  So that's FIVE grandchildren (NINE including spouses), and FOUR great grand children.  And who know how many more there will be!!!  Yikes!!

Robert and I are passing the torch on that one...so Lacey and Rachel are going to have to take up the slack one day!

The whole family!!

Then we enjoyed a nice three course meal where there was lots of laughing and a little crying!  Happy cries of course! :-)

THANK YOU BB and SUGAR for setting such a wonderful example to us!  You set the bar mighty high (SIXTY YEARS PEOPLE!), but I fully intend to make it that far with Robert! :-)

Happy Anniversary!

WE LOVE YOU!

When 40 Degrees Feels Like A Heat Wave

And 50 degrees feels HOT!

Glad for some decent weather back in our neck of the woods!  Which makes us wanna play outside ALL DAY!

Hopefully it will keep up!  Because we haven't had a full week of school since November!  And will only go 13 days in January!??!   And things get pretty boring indoors pretty fast!

HAPPY TUESDAY FOLKS!!
